| Conference Format
|
The conference features 45-minute live breakout
sessions conducted in an interactive online format, each with a "live/interactive" component,
a "presentation-on-demand" component, and a vibrant threaded
discussion that will expand on and illuminate the topic.
Designed for both synchronous and asynchronous participants,
the event will be conducted entirely online using an innovative conferencing
environment provided by NMC Distinguished Partner LearningTimes.
Attendees of NMC's online meetings enjoy a wide range of features
commonly associated with traditional face-to-face conferences,
including interactive sessions from engaging presenters, "hallway" conversations,
chances to ask presenters questions,
and more.
|
| |
| Presentation Preparation |
The NMC and LearningTimes will assist
presenters in preparing their presentations for the online environment
used for the conference. A typical presentation will include a
slide show, which itself can incorporate a range of multimedia
materials, including video clips, with about 30 minutes of live
commentary presented via voice over IP (VoIP). The system will
easily accommodate multiple presenters, as well as live questions
from the audience via VoIP or chat. Other materials, such as live
web links, video, documents, or other materials, can be included
as session resources.

| |
| Proposal Submission |
Proposals for the Online Conference on Personal Broadcasting should
be submitted online using the NMC's proposal submission system.
Proposals should include an electronic photograph of the presenter(s),
as well as a one-paragraph biographical sketch.
