This week, the University
of St. Thomas Center for Multimedia Development is "In the Spotlight" at New Media
Centers. The CMD fosters the use of interactive new media among the
faculty and staff of the University of St. Thomas.
Recent projects include Hilacha,
an award-winning language instruction CD-ROM product of the CMD.
It won the 1998 Silver Reel award from ITVA in the interactive category
and a Silver Invision Award in the higher education category.
Another project is Interpreting
NMR Spectra, a CD-ROM product used in organic chemistry classes.
It provides practice for students learning to analyze nuclear magnetic
resonance data, adapting the instruction to the particular needs of
the student. Find
out about more projects and the innovative work of the CMD in using
New Media as a creative tool for teaching and learning.
