NMC looks this week at the work going on at Yale
University's Digital Media Center
for the Arts (DMCA).
The Yale
Mobile Media Mix (YMMM) is an on-going series of projects sponsored
by the DMCA that enable artists to produce and distribute artworks
on the Internet.
The DMCA supports experiments that redefine what
is possible, and hopes to inspire new forms of expression and educational
exchange, explore interactivity and create new audiences and new
markets. Since part of the DMCA's mission is to generate collaboration
between artists from many disciplines, projects that combine skills
from the fields of art, architecture, art history, drama, film,
and music are encouraged.
The Digital Media Center for the Arts at Yale is
set up specifically for the use of the faculty, staff, and students
who frequent the facility. For more information, please visit the
Digital Media Center
for the Arts website
