TALON Learning Object System
The TALON (Teaching and Learning Oriented Network) Learning Object System is repurposeable and linked to teaching and learning styles. TALON was developed by a collaboration of faculty and staff from Indiana University, Ari Vidali Envisage Corporation, and Abtar Kaur Open University of Malaysia. It is composed of about 20 templates built around a mode of learning or teaching. Many of the project examples were developed by the instructors directly from the templates with little or no assistance from programmers or instructional designers.

The templates are designed based on learning or teaching styles. One example the TALON system provides is the Writing Skills: The Intelligent Paragraph Tool that provides the student with a problem in which content, data, and interactive demonstration may be embedded. Another example is the Math Tools: Equation Builder which allows the student to build a certain equation given a plotted graph.
