Web Content Developer

Who says you can't love your job? We love ours! And we welcome you to join the creative team at George Mason University. We are Educational Media Services (EdMS) and we're looking for the perfect Web guru to work with our instructional designers, television and video producers, multimedia specialists, graphic designers and other university personnel to generate online materials for a variety of educational programs and courses at George Mason University.

To round out our team of experts, we need a Web Content Developer with demonstrated expertise in (X)HTML, RSS, CSS, Web databases, Web authoring applications and advanced Internet programming languages. We're looking for that perfect someone with demonstrated proficiency in:

- Adobe Acrobat
- Video captioning applications
- Macromedia Studio (Dreamweaver, Fireworks)
- Macromedia Flash and ActionScript
- Adobe Photoshop
- JavaScript

Here's the rub, you must be able to work well as a team player with diverse populations; have excellent interpersonal and communications skills; be able to establish collegial relationships with faculty, staff and students; be a creative thinker; know how to communicate technical information effectively to non-technology-trained audiences; and be willing to work flexible hours. Along with your application, submit a viewable portfolio of web development work and three references. A link to an online portfolio is preferred. A ZIP file or a CD is also acceptable.
