Session Description
The UMBC digital storytelling community of practice began as a fledgling effort, but now supports multiple projects and an interest group of over 120 faculty and staff. Come see and hear how members are managing constrained budgets, larger classes and the growing interest in digital storytelling. Presenters will lead audience members in a discussion of best practices in developing diverse, multifaceted DS communities. The conversation will cover faculty motivation, successful assignments, assessment, lab support, research projects, cultural practices, and positioning DS projects vis-à-vis the university administration and mission.
