CMS for Department Pages

Is anyone successfully using a CMS for academic department pages?  We are looking for a base-level service that we can provide for departments with limited resources.  Is anyone using Wordpress as a CMS?

Here in a department within the library of James Madison University, we're piloting Wordpress MU. We're using it as a CMS in various capacities with success. I'm using it personally to create web sites for a number of local non-profit organizations. With the right set of WP plug-ins and a carefully vetted theme, WP is a quick and easy platform for building a lightweight and easily maintainable CMS. It's helpful to have someone on your staff with strong CSS, HTML, and JavaScript skills. Knowledge of PHP is a plus.
