Faculty Academy is a long running faculty development activity at the University of Mary Washington (UMW), with this year's theme "Are We There Yet? Reflecting on 15 Years of Teaching and Learning Technologies". Each year, Faculty Academy brings together faculty and staff from the University of Mary Washington to share and celebrate the year’s efforts and accomplishments in the classroom, with teaching and learning technologies as the specific focus (or, one might say, catalyst) of the event. In their spirit of open collaboration, Faculty Academy is also open to educators from other regional institutions to attend, as well as an even larger audience who tune in via the web.

Instructional Development Specialist

Iowa State University Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching

Serves as the Learning Technologies (LT) staff member in the provision of e-learning course development and faculty support services of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT). Primary responsibilities include user support for the course management software WebCT/Vista. This includes managing course and user accounts, providing instructor phone, email and face-to-face support as well as participating in collaborative support activities with other university IT and instructional departments.
