The Dynamic Knowledge Initiative (DKI) provides a
mechanism for the NMC to generate, distribute, and share knowledge
on topics of interest to the organization. The NMC’s Series
of Online Conferences, through which the NMC is building a web
of knowledge and online resources, is the most visible expression
of this initiative.
The DKI is a multi-year effort to explore knowledge
identification, capture, and coding processes, and to develop tools
in support of these kinds of processes to serve its several communities
of practice.
As the first step toward this goal, a survey of the
literature and existing research was undertaken in 2003, and the
list below includes a number of summaries of key articles and other
publications that will help serve as the foundation for the DKI
dialogs and efforts.
