The annual Horizon Report describes the continuing work of the NMC’s Horizon Project, a research-oriented effort that seeks to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have considerable impact on teaching, learning, and creative expression within higher education.

The Horizon Report is an awesome way to introduce a group of administrators or teachers to the latest trends in technology. Often it is all too overwhelming to think about and read about and try to take in all that technology has to offer education. Soooo take the executive summary and do some divide and conquer with your teachers or administrators. Each small group would take an area and prepare a product to showcase the main ideas from their section. This could be a short podcast, an Animoto, Blabberize, Webspiration, or other similar Web 2.0 tool.
