Biography

Adeline “Addy” Meira is a Doctoral Student majoring in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in Technology at the Baylor University School of Education (Waco, TX). She is also part of the Baylor University Digital Media Studio Staff, School of Education Media Center Staff, a Graduate Fellow at the Academy of Teaching and Learning, as well as the Instructor for TED 3380 (Social Issues in Education), TED 1112 (Technology) lab, and EDC5370 (Technology Fundamentals).

She is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is the president of the Graduate Student Association, president of the Brazilian Student Association (BRASA), as well as a representative at the Baylor University Teaching and Learning with Technology Committee.

Addy has earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts - Graphic Design from Baylor University, a Masters degree in Science of Education from Baylor as well, and is expected to graduate from the Doctoral program in C&I sometime in 2011.

Her interests are: Technology, Educational technology, Graphic Design/Art, Typography, Social Issues in Education, Volleyball (and her cat Gato).

Addy played volleyball for Baylor University from 2003-2006 and loves coaching volleyball. She has coached for Waco Juniors Volleyball Club, and now manages their website .
